Excite Truck
Not Bad! on September 09, 2008
For driving games, this was pretty good! The steering is kinda tricky but works after you get the feel for it. I was impressed at the feel of driving. It was very unique and except for the once or twice per race it went haywire, it worked pretty well.
I'd suggest renting this game first to see if you like it.
Wario Ware: Smooth Moves
LOTS better than previous versions, IMO on September 09, 2008
In my opionion, this Wii version of WarioWare Smooth Moves is LOTS better than previous versions. The integration of the wiimote's features are really shown off in this game. I have yet to play Mario Party Wii, but so far this game takes the cake with party games. It's so fast and 'easy' (as long as you're paying attention) that you are more concentrated on having fun than in trying to play or understand the game mechanics. If you love to share your wii with friends (parties) then this is one game you should definately get.
Wii Play (with Wii Remote)
Worth the $10 on September 09, 2008
Most people will need an extra controller & for an extra $10, I think it's worth getting Wii Play. Sure, the playability doesn't last long for the owner, but its great to pull out for parties. I prefer the Duck Hunt & Tank games. While the fishing is amusing for a bit, the rest of the games are only good for a fun learning curve on the uses of the wiimote.
Ninja Reflex
Similar to Warioware Wii on September 09, 2008
This basically expands on the 'ninja' style minigames in Warioware Wii. If you enjoy Warioware, this is a great addition to your collection. It's easy for newcomers to the Wii to pick up and makes a great party game. The Random Name generator is a great laugh in and of itself. I suggest renting this one unless you are good about collecting games for parties. It will definately get old fast as a one player.
Wii Sports
A Must for any Wii Owner on September 09, 2008
The multi-player accessability for going to a party and pulling out a game that anyone can pick up immediately and have a ball with makes this game a standard in any Wii owners portfolio. I find it best suits newer players to the Wii and helps people dive in to playing a new console that /could/ be intimidating at first.
Let your friends play!
Pac-Man World Rally
Nice Mario Kart knock-off! on April 13, 2008
This plays Surprisingly like Mario Kart! In fact, I'd be surprised if it didn't use the same engine with different skins over the objects and new track layouts.
Sure, copying a game is lame, but if you look at it like you just got bonus Mario Kart levels, it's a score ;]
If you like Mario Kart, try this for a few spins. It sure beats played-out old tracks.
