Originally scheduled to be developed by the longtime programmers at Xing Entertainment, K-1 World Grand Prix 2001 was instead handled by Konami OSA after Xing left the videogames business. The first PlayStation 2 K-1 title around, Grand Prix 2001 features 18 different fighters from the popular mixed martial arts promotion and boasts several different modes of play such as Exhibition and the Grand Prix tournament itself. Other extras include authentic broadcast commentary, location specific damage, and the ability to record and save your favorite moments for replay. Released in Japan only.
