great mech game for the ps2, i suggest playing this before armored core 3:silent line

unlimeted energy and easy arena wins

this is very useful for the upper arena battles.build a mech w/ the strongest tank treads for legs and the best body,now equip the grenade launcher rear parts that have a long black barrel.now equip the moonlight sword andany gun you want (note:you cannot equip the karasawa gun on the tank legs) now eqiup the arms and head the best you can.
Now that you have a strong mech w/ stong weapons and alot of armor go to the arena and fight an opponent at the level where you start ontop of the tall building.
When the match starts hold R2 and L2 and press R3.For the next 40 seconds you have unlimeted energy,but after the 40 seconds you have no energy for the next 50 seconds,but you can repeat this as much as you want to.turn on your overboost and fly down thereand move around your opponent in a circle w/ the OB still on and shoot at him w/ the granade launchers, to do this hold down one of the strafe buttons and turn the opposite direction.Ex:if you strafe left turn right.When your time starts to run out quickly get back on top of the building you started on.This works great for the slow opponents, but for the fast ones do the unlimeted energy trick andfly strait up and as close as you can to the out of bounds line, if you fly to high though you will go out of bounds yourself.Since the fast opponents usualy OB to get to where you are they will go out of bounds and you win.This makes beating the #1 ranked person a piece of cake, but it takes a few tries to get him to go out
