Unique and fun, what Wii is all about.

Elebits is the type of game that fits the Wii perfectly. Using your Wii Remote pointer to pick up and manipulate objects is a breeze. The creators of Elebits really did a good job of forming various puzzles and challenges around the core mechanic of the game, making the story mode a blast. There are a few quirks to the game that can be annoying though, like doors that close on you without you touching them.

Elebits also comes with a stage editor so you can make your own challenges and send them to friends at any time over Wii Connect 24. With a little time and creativity you and your friends can make some interesting situations by using any of the hundreds of objects found in the game.

Multiplayer in Elebits is also quite fun, although it doesn't have the depth to last you and your friends more than a couple chaotic plays through.

In conclusion, Elebits would be a solid 3/5 stars just for the single player mode. The inclusion of the stage editor pushes it up to 4/5 stars. It's great to see such a fun and interesting game out for Wii this early, and it's an example to developers of how to use the Wii's features to implement new ideas in a fun way.

Wii Virtual Exterminator

Should be titled wii virtual exterminator.

Standard point and shoot concept. Gets old fast. Somewhat awkward controls (particularly for push-pull) Will be trading it when i finish it.

Worth a look though, if the idea of looking in cupboards for rodents is fun for you.

Editing stages? who's got time for that sort of crap?

What the Wii was built for!

Reviewed by nickm717 on May 09, 2007  |  report this review

These are the kinds of title the Wii was build for. After getting used to the controls you are thrown into a world where electricity comes from tiny creatures scattered everywhere. Your job is to zap them with your Dad's energy gun to light up the city. The concept is amazing. The people at Konami need a pat on the back for their wonderful innovative masterpiece. I have to admit that some of the controls (opening doors) were frustrating when they wouldn't work but when they did it was pure joy. The game adds loads of replay value with its stage editor. Making crazy domino set-ups with wiis
