Fun, Quirky Game

This game is fun, although the gameplay is lacking and it gets a bit boring. However, the quirkyness saves it.

Not a bad game. If you like Harvest Moon, you should get it!

And I dont mean that in a good way.
Graphix: 7/10 the graphix are one of this games best points.
although there isnt too much to see, whats there looks great.
Control: 8/10 controls are pretty simple, which is good.
Sound: 6/10 the sounds are good, and so is the music.
But the problem is that you only get a couple of songs, which can get annoying fast.
Gameplay: 4/10 at first it's fun, you have a goal, to get married. But after that you just have to play for 9 years in game time.
It dosent matter how you get by those 9 years, heak you could just sleep through them.
And after you breed your first few cows it starts to get annoying, and since they wont give milk unless they give birth first, makes it very anoying.
The gameplay is also very slow, theres large gaps in between what you do in the day which leaves you waiting. For example I get up and milk my cows,
I can milk them again but i have to wait till the afternoon.
And the festivals, if you could even call them that,
Are boring and serve almost no point.

This game is either a hit or miss,
People that i know who arent really Harvest Moon vets, seem to enjoy this more.
But to me it seemed more like a chore then a game.

A fun and addictive game

Harvest Moon A Wonderful Life is not for everyone. It does not have blood or gore and it, and while some people think the Harvest Moon series is kiddish and boring, well, they're different, and dont like farming games. Me, i absolutely love farming games. The graphics are okay, while thye could have made some things look and feel better. The sound is what you would expect from a farming game. No hardcore rock or east coast rap, just gentle, calm, tunes and noises. Obviously the sounds could have been improved a lot more, but i think it fits in the game well. The gameplay is very lasting for a while, but will get a little old eventually. You raise chickens, cows, sheep, and even ducks. Farming plants is also very easy to do. You get your water pan thing and water the plants. I would have like to see that the watering thing watered more than one plant square. Control is really easy, as you will see them on the right corner, the replay factor is a problem though. After you play it a while, i wouldnt think you would want to start over again. Overall, you would either love this game, or hate it to death. So go rent it to decide.

Confusing, difficult gameplay.

This game wasn't as good as I thought it would be. I love Harvest Moon, and found Harvest Moon: Friends of Mineral Town awesome, but I just wasn't feeling this game. Growing crops is much more difficult this time around. It's fine if you know how to deal with hybrid plants, but other than that it makes for confusing game play. If you're up for a challenge, then give it a shot, but if you're just in it for fun like me, then maybe this game isn't the one for you. I recommend its GBA conterpart: Friends of Mineral Town!
