Swordsman Scroll

Hint by Gev on October 13, 2007  |  report this hint

A lot of traveling and trading so be prepared

First go to the NE quadrant and go to the traveling ship. Board it and you will be faced with a bunch of enemies. Even better the door is locked behind you. Defeat them. Walk to the exit and a man will confront you. he will give you the choice between mysterious treasure and normal treasure. Pick the mysterious treasure. It will be Heroes New Clothes. he will also give you the other treasure as well. Next step go to the ship in the SE quadrant. Talk to him and give him the clothes. He will give you a telescope. Travel to the NW quadrant and board the ship. Talk to the man in the back on the left. He gives you the Guard Notebook. Go to the SE quadrant and board the ship. Talk to the man in the ship and give him the guard notebook. He trades you it for a Wood Heart. Don't be fooled it has nothing to do with goron island. Check all the quadrants and there should now be a new ship. Board it and you find the old man from ba nnanisland. he talks of hearts and romance. give him the wood heart and he tells you to go to his island for some treasure. Go to the NW quadrant to bannan island. go into the house and talk to him. A chest will appear. Open it and ... YES THE SWORDMAN'S SCROLL FINALLY!

I have some cautions on playing Wi-Fi with other people. When you get your force gem to your base always put the gem as far as you can away from a safe zone. The other eplayer may try to take your gem and put it there which takes away your points and the other player can try to get the gem for himself.

hurricane spin

Hint by bibl on March 11, 2008  |  report this hint

Do the following series of fetch-quests to get the Hurricane Spin ability:

1.) Go to the traveler's ship in the northeast section of the sea. Defeat the monsters you find there, and you will receive New Hero's Clothes, as well as a Treasure Map.

2.) Take the clothes to another traveler's ship, this one in the northwest section of the sea, and give them to the man there. He will give you the Kaleidoscope in return.

3.) Take your newfound Kaleidoscope to the traveler's ship in the southeast section of the sea and give it to the man in want of a telescope. He will give you the Guard's Notebook in return.

4.) Take this notebook to the traveler's ship in the southwest section of the sea and give it to the man you find there to acquire the Wood Heart.

5.) Finally, take the Wood Heart to the Old Wayfarer's Ship, and he will give you the scroll which will allow you to learn this technique!

easy money

Hint by bibl on March 11, 2008  |  report this hint

A great way to accumulate rupees fairly quickly is to head to the Dee Ess Isle (which is an island on the map suspiciously shaped like a Nintendo DS Lite) once the Goron Game is available. Winning this game is easy once you've done it enough times, and going through the course given in thirty-five seconds will net you all sorts of goodies. Sometimes, you'll get 200 rupees as a reward, which is good enough, but you'll also sometimes get items, such as Zora's Scales (which you can sell for 800 rupees), or Coral (which you can sell for a whopping 1,500 rupees). Easy money!

another easy money method

Hint by bibl on March 11, 2008  |  report this hint

Locate the Traveler's Ship (the guy who gives you all of the treasure). Kill all of the enemies on board his ship, and then talk to him. After receiving the treasure, exit his ship and save your game. Turn off your DS, turn it back on, and head into the DS settings. Adjust the time and date (moving it forward one day, for instance), and restart your game. Return to the Traveler's Ship, repeat the same process as before, and you'll receive more treasure. Stock up using this method, and then go sell all of your goods. You can get 9,999 Rupees easily in about twenty minutes doing this.

easy ways

Hint by Link2007-05 on March 18, 2008  |  report this hint

here are some easy ways to make the game more easy.
1) the easiest way to get rupees is to cut grass, obviously, well an easy way is to use ur hammer in a big patch of grass and let the hammer cut the grass and collect rupees. u can repeat the process on the same or different are u think has blus rupees appear more often.
2) an easy way to stay alive in the final bellum fight (the one where he posseses Linebeck) is to have a yellow potion, a purple potion (yellow restores all hearts and purple revives u) and if u upgraded the blue spirit (first time where ur defences go up-dont know what the second upgrade is) and select it. if u die on this the the purple will revive u, let it, then when ur health is between 1/4-3/4 of ur last heart the use ur yellow potion unless ur confident u can beat bellum like i have once.
3) beating final bellum. to beat him with ease is this, as soon as he attacks move an strike back with a few hits, he will move back and strike, this is where u dodge and target slash and hit him till he loosens celia to get the thing were u freeze time.
4) easy money. well beside the grass thing is to sell ur treasure and the best to sell to the guy in macay island. here are some items u should sell if u have less than 1000 rupees. Pearl necklace- worth 1500 rupees; the feather- worth 800 and the amber is 800. it best if u have a bunch of these when u decide to go on a shopping spree (well that depends if the fortune guy sees it worth more or less).
there u go some easy ways to get by in phantom hourglass and i will update this as soon as i discover easy ways that no one thought of or no one said.

In the South-eastern map there is a hidden Island known as DEE ESS Island. Of course by the name it looks exactly like a DS!
