Item Duplication (WARNING: THIS CAN DAMAGE SAVE FILE)

Hint by jobes2007 on May 25, 2007  |  report this hint

Item Duplication

*WARNING: This item duplication will ruin the game play, please note to do this at your own risk. If may also damage your save file so please duplicate your save before you attempt this.

In Final Fantasy III, all useable items (not weapons/armors/magic) can be duped using this method, as mentioned, please use at your own risk.

Procedures:
1)Open menu screen via non-battle.
2)Select "Items"
3)Put the item you want to duplicate in the very top left corner in your item list
4)Enter a battle randomly
5)When in battle, go select "Item" on any characters.
6)Your cursor should be at the very top left of the item box, the item you have placed there. Once you're here, hit UP and A button at the same time
7)This will briefly take you to Wepon/Shield list (about 1/2 second). If you see this, the code has worked after you hit "cancel' or B button. Go to your invetory and you will notice that the item quantity has been added by one.

With this method you are able to duplicate any demishable items, even items you can't by such as Chocobo's Rage, Elixir, Phoenix Down. Note: This doesn't work in the PAL version of the game.

Ultima Weapon

1. Register someone's ( or more ) friend code on your DS.
2. Send 7 messages to another DS ( faraway or nearby )
3. Send messages to Takka until you get a reply talking about Orichalum.
4. Fix Sara's pendant by sending messages until you get a reply saying that her pendant is broken.
5. Ask Takka to fix it
6. If that doesn't work, go meet the legendary smith. Leave the floating continent and go to northwestern Saronia City. The legendary smith should be near the path leading to the library. If you find the Orichalium (Used to make a Ultima Weapon), she will forge something out of it and give it to you in return for finding the Orichalum 7. Get it fixed and return it to Sara.
8. Send messages to Cid until he replies with a "Something is in the basment.." kind of title.
9. Head to Cid's house in Cannan and talk to Cid. Head down to the basement on the east side of the room, kill Aeon and it should drop Unknown Metal. Talk to Cid and he'll say that it is the legendary metal called, Orihalcum.
10. Do not go to Saronia. Go to Falgbard (City with all the Dark Knights). She should be beside the river in town, so go talk to her and will take your Orichalum and forge it into a weapon called the Ultima Weapon.

If you zoom in you can find a sparkly spot with is an itm or a switch, so you might want to zoo in allot.
and in a fine wall if you see any diference in the pattern, there is a secret passageway, so look around a lot, especially in all 3 castles and you might find something!

23rd Job: Onion Knight

Hint by ShwStppnActr on August 13, 2007  |  report this hint

You will need WiFi access in order to complete. First, register another persons Friend Code onto your game and make sure they do the same with your Friend Code. Next, send 7 mails to them (this can be done with multiple people as long as a total of 7 mails are sent). Then, send 4 mails to the in game character, Topapa. After the 4th response, he will ask you to save the children. Go back to Ur and talk to him directly, then head to the cave North. Work your way through it (it shouldn't be that difficult) and you'll find three bombs. Defeat them and gain the Onion Knight!
Note: The Onion Knight is worse than a Freelancer...at the beginning. At character level 95 or so, the Onion Knight's stats start to max out and he becomes a God!

While in battle select item from the command menu. Goto the top items. This can be done with either the right or left item on the top of the list. simply press Up and A and then back up and the number will be increased by one. You can put any item that is usuable in battle in either of those top slots.

Dont Exceed 99 items. ive been doing this for a long time and its never Damaged my save file. just dont exceed 99 to be safe.
