Amazingly grotesque

This game was the equivalent of tony hawk pro skater 1 on its worst day. Imagine your self in a crappy nes game, except more stupid types of skaters, and a control sceam that would choke a drunk donkey. This game get 1 flaming skate board out of 5.
Time to Put This One Asleep

Choose how you want to skate, that is the catch-phrase for the NINTH entry in the Tony Hawk series. Proving Ground. The main point of this game is to allow you to choose your path. Yah, it's not really like that it is three hour and a half stories in game. You just get to choose what order you want to do them. This game is EXACTLY what you think it is going to be. EXACTLY. It has the same recycled controls as the other eight so it should be pretty easy to learn the controls. Like the other seven the story sucks. The reason I said seven was because Underground had an excellent story. This game doesn't get everything wrong though (thats why I gave it a three). They Introduce three new 'notable' tricks Nail the Grab, Nail the Manual, and Skate Check. Skate Check is probably one of the coolest thing the Hawk games have done. All it is is when you press L you elbow someone sending them FLYING!! Believe me, it takes a long time for that to get old. Another cool feature is how you can customize your 'Skate Pad' it's like the park editor that they cut from Project Eight. This Tony Hawk was a bit of a disappointment, but I sort of expected that. What can I say Neversoft. How about a good story and a lot of customizable junk like in Underground.
WHAT DO THINK: This is the ninth entry ninth series. Do you think Neversoft should put this series to bed and work on something.

a good way to get alott of points for tricks is manual tricks. once you get the hang of the balancing act you can rack up alot of points. most of the tricks can be switched in between by simply dounble pressing nuttons. also, use grinds. be sure when you jump to do flip tricks or grabs before you start you grind and double tap buttons to transfer between tricks on your grinds also. spin every time you jump
not good

this is one skate boarding game that i was really looking forward to. but u can be 1 whole foot away from the rail but can still grind it and u can also ride on train tracks for and arcade sakte game it is good but i would look for more realistic skate game like EA's SKATE this is one game i would avoid if u like realism.
