Just kill me....

Reviewed by Bob70011 on September 02, 2006  |  report this review

This game pains me... This game has wonderful graphics, great multiplayer, and an perfect driving system... Its such a shame that to experience these blessings I would have to face a damn loading screen after about EVERY BUTTON I PRESSED! Ok, I think I need to calm down... But really, the loading times and frequency are just horrid... About 20 to 40 seconds for every loading screen! And these loading screens pop up after and before every race, after an option is picked from the menu, after just about everything... Do not get this game if you do not have a large amount of patience...

PGR3

Reviewed by kylehenning on September 22, 2006  |  report this review

PGR3(Project Gotham Racing 3) is a game that has superior graphics and an extreemely realistic feel to it. The amount of cars that you have to choose from is vast and the tracks are fun. The only thing that I could see a person getting annoyed at is the way it feels when you go drifting around corners. Other than that in my opinion this game gets a 4 out of 5.

Extremely Enjoyable Racer

Reviewed by captmurphy on September 27, 2006  |  report this review

Project Gotham Racing 3 walks the line between arcade racer and sim. Cars obey the laws of physics, but are willing to be pushed a little harder if the player pushes the limit.

This is currently the best racer available for the Xbox 360, and will most likely remain the champ until PGR4 is released. The polish is immaculate; each car is beautifully crafted, menus are slick and easy to navigate, online works beautifully, with great matchmaking and smooth connections.

Not to mention the fact that the game is simply gorgeous. Pop this game in and watch the 'next-gen' haters swallow hard as they try to explain how those visuals are high-res Xbox1. This is one of the only games I can honestly say looks photorealistic at times, particularly in the 'in the cab' view and during replays.

Get this game. I became addicted trying to buy all of the 80 or so cars the game has to offer (with more available to download on xbox live). Enjoy!

Best racer game on the 360.

Project Gotham Racing three delivers a top-notch racing experience. The physics of the cars are amazing, and the AI is also very challenging. PGR has a large selection of vehicles and tracks. Once again, as in the past PGRs, if you do not like a track, you are often forced to race it forwards, backwards, mirrored, and mirrored backwards. This is not always the case, but sometimes it does get annoying. Another drawback is the lack of damage. This is not the game producer's fault, however. The companies that produce the cars would not allow significant amounts of damage to be shown on their vehicles simply because this doesn't reflect well on them.

The difficulty settings of the game allow users of all skill levels to enjoy the game without feeling overburdened or left wanting more. The various difficulties ranging from very easy to very hard keep the pace up and add a lot to replay value. Of course, the higher the difficulty you play on, the more you are rewarded with credits that you can buy new cars with.

The soundtrack for the game is a bit on the odd side. It contains music from several different genres, including a few that I had never heard of. If you only like a particular type of music (I favor hardcore, hard rock, etc. myself) then you will probably be unsatisfied with the game's soundtrack. This is not so much of a big deal since you can play your own music instead from your hard drive, PC, or USB device. The sound effects of the game are very good. The engine sounds, tires screeching, etc. allows you to really get into the game and feel like you are actually part of the action, not just watching with a joystick in your hand. After a very short time you find yourself leaning from side to side trying to help your car get around that turn! Overall, PGR is an amazing racing game. Definitely one of the better games to come out so close to the release of the Xbox 360. The graphics are very clean and well-rounded. This game has many hours of gameplay quality, and with the ability to watch other more skilled players using the Gotham TV, you can quickly learn the best strategies for racing. Several different modes of gameplay keep the game from becoming overly repetitive.

i think that project gothem racing 3 is a very fun game. it has great game play and effects. i get bord though during the loading screen but other wise i would prefere this game to raceing fans. it does kind of suck that you cant customize your car but thats how the game is made. when i tried the demo. i thought that you couldnt customize it because that is was a demo but it is still a very good game. i like it the best because it has exotic and sports cars (in my opinion).

I really loved the first pgr and I had to get this game when it first came out. The graphics are amazing, but it's not one that makes you die to get those kudos. I do have to say that almost any 360 game is worth 10 points though.
