Successfully complete the indicated task to unlock the corresponding guitar at the shop:

Battle Axe: Successfully complete the game on the Expert difficulty setting.
Casket: Successfully complete the game on the Medium difficulty setting.
Fish: Successfully complete the game on the Easy difficulty setting.
Eyeball: Get a five star rank on all songs on the Hard difficulty setting.
Snaketapus: Successfully complete the game on the Hard difficulty setting.
The Log: Get a five star rank on all songs on the Expert difficulty setting.
U.S.A.: Get a five star rank on all songs on the Easy difficulty setting.
Viking: Get a five star rank on all songs on the Medium difficulty setting.

Dont strum for every note

Hammer ons and pull off's are in the game for a reason. Trust me, it makes every song a whole lot easier if you use them. It makes it so you dont have to scramble to strum for a long, fast line of notes.

Getting Better

If you truly want to get really good at this game you really need to go to the practice section. It sounds boring, i know, but it will help you extremely and make expert seem much easier. Just find a song you have a lot of trouble with and work on it. Then you will notice that not only is this song easier but other songs start to seem easier. I play expert all the time cause i would practice forever. Definately practice if you really want to be great at this game.

Try and try?

Do you try and try again and again to 5 star a song? Is it mostly a lost cause? If you didn't know, the stars are rated by score. The easiest way to 5 star a song is to use star power on the parts of the song where there are alot of notes. After you play the song through a couple times you will understand what I am talking about. Keep Rocking and 5 star them all! -Derek

Forget pull offs, let's try slide offs.....

If the really fast,really close notes running up and down the colors are kicking your butt, forget about pull offs and hammer ons. Just slide up and down the buttons. It works the same, and may not get you hitting every note, but might just get you through that part of the solo that you just can't seem to pass. Keep rockin'. You'll get it!

Easy Lefty Flip Achievement

Switch to lefty swich (obviously) and then lay upside down on anything (easiest would be a bed if you have you're Xbox 360 in your room). The colors look exactly the same as normal would. Make sure you pick a short song, otherwise you're head will start to hurt. Trust me, this hint is going to be helpful, or you can actually try for hours to do it standing up and using lefty flip.

Hyper Mode

At the start screen, press the following notes while Career is highlighted: Blue, Orange, Yellow, Orange, Blue, Orange, Yellow, Yellow (BOY O BOYY). This will activate Hyper Mode, which makes the song a bit faster. You may think this will be tough, but it can acutally help on many difficult songs, because the hard parts will pass quicker. I know I beat many expert songs using Hyper Mode.
