Good hack n slash, Great if u not played GoW.

(another review from my homepgae blog) To begin this review I have to have two standpoints and your about to see why. This game is a total knockoff clone/duplicate of the PS2’s God of War. Now, having said that if you’ve played that then you’ve played the better game in my opinion (by since I’ve been a fan of Greek mythology since my pre-teen’s, I may be biased). Overall plot is better in GoW and a little more options on your attacks and more puzzles (Tomb Raider style). But its not a bad game, just a duplicate of a great one. Now, have you never played God of War, then your in for some great fun! This type of game is a great adventure sort, like a big bear-manly Tomb Raider sort of game (loosely). Best of all, theirs boobies galore! Woohoo! You fight all sorts of baddies from humans to beasts and buy more attacks with your kills. Not to wide open of play but still enjoyable. A great break between the massive amounts of FPS on the 360. Replay value is low once your done with it though, graphics are OK but no-where near 360 capabilities but plot’s good, voice actings great (come on, they got Ron Pearlman!). Overall, I’d give it a rental value of like $10.

A Solid Game

Graphics - 3.5 out of 5. Your typical graphics for a XBOX 360 game, but where this game gets the .5 is from the way it displays the blood and limbs that will fly once you get started.

Audio - 3 out of 5. Typical sound.

Gameplay - 4 out of 5. This is not just a button masher. You have 3 primary type of sword styles: one handed, two swords, and two handed. Each style has 15+ combos. The combos are bought with experience which is gained by killing your enemies. This game really shines in this department due to the different type of combos and scenes of pure carnage you can pull off.

This game has a M rating for a reason, though, so please keep that in mind. The violence in this game makes sense, due to the main character being Conan. This is a perfect game for someone who has been looking for a great hack-n-slash. I played the demo, and on the same day went and got the game. Replay is fun when you want to get violence, but there's nothing really new to offer the player except some cheats...but those cheats are holding my attention. This is a good buy, because its close to a price of a rental.
