If you enjoyed COD2 then you won't be disappointed with this one. It is very similar, except the action is more closed quarters so you have a lot more chances to get a kill with the butte of your rifle. Keeps you entertained for a good while. I'd recommend it if you like this line of games.
Good game

While this game gets a fresh graphics update because of the capabilities of the Xbox 360, it pretty much feels and play much as the same as the previous Call of Duty's. The graphics are awesome. The guns look really realistic, and theres a really good gritty feeling to the game because of the dirty looking graphics, but hey, thats war right? The sound is fantastic, as gun shots sound very realistic. The character voices are well done, sounding as though they are really in a war. The gameplay is pretty much the same as the other ones. You complete objectives that lead you to finish the chapter. There are close combat quarter battles, and you get a chance to kill someone with your gun. The online is the best part of the game. It's definitely fun to play against other people and talk with your headset. Overall, this game is definitely fun to play, but the overall value and replay value is something else to talk about. There are only 14, i think, chapters in this game, which is pretty short. In online play, there are bugs in the game. Rarely you'll see trucks, tanks, or motorcycles floating around in the air, or people lying on top after they have been shot. Overall though, if you havent played any of the other Call of Dutys, then this one is definitely one to play, quite possible renting it if you dont plan on playing multiplayer with it.

As in all COD games the singleplayer gameplay is solid. You'll do every type of mission you've come to expect from a world war 2 game. The graphics are a huge improvement and look amazing for the 360. The way the captured the authentic WW2 guns is amazing. The M1 grand sounds amazing, along with all the other well capture sounds of the other guns. The campaign is short but fun, but as in most WW2 games the multiplayer is where this game comes alive. This game is the only one that has been in my 360 for about 3 weeks now. I have 3 roomates that have never played any console and they are addicted to the online play. COD3 features the option to play with 24 people instead of the regular 16 like all other games. Having a larger team is what makes this game fun. I've only had minimal lag at times but nothing to serious like halo 2 is known for. This game shows what online play should be like! Buy this game, you'll love it!

Call of Duty 3 is still the same straight-arrow, scripted, game-on-rails it was back when we called it Call of Duty 2, but developer Treyarch has refined this new iteration to such an extent that you'll barely notice the lack of freedom. You'll still find yourself facing a never-ending onslaught of Nazi forces that won't relent until you make a mad dash into their midst (enabling your allies to move up), but this time you've got an even more gorgeous environment to do it in.
Nowhere is the staggering attractiveness of the game more apparent than in the second level, called The Island. Commando crawling through the mud and rivulets of a rural France , we were captivated by the rain effects that created devastatingly beautiful creeks for us to slog through. Granted, most of the game involves retaking Nazi occupied France, so a lot of the environment ends up being bombed-out houses, but it's little environmental treats like The Island that really show off Call of Duty 3's best graphics.

Wether you like to empty out an entire belt of rounds, or revive a fallen teammate on the brink of death this game has it all. From the standard grunt to the always oh so useful but under appreciated medic class you will find your self engaged in fire fight after fire fight in this recreation of World War II (like we havent seen enough of em already lol) that depicts locations from....well by now I think you all know these locations so Im not wasting my time on it, but the action is very intense and extremely fast paced, so if you are looking for a WWII FPS this one is about as good as they get.

Call of duty 3

World War II may have ended in 1945, but that hasn't stopped the axis and allies from waging war against one another on the video game front. Call of Duty 2 was one of the Xbox 360's best games when the system launched last November. The game made use of the console's power to generate outstanding visuals and sound, immersing players in combat like never before. With Call of Duty 2 developer Infinity Ward having moved on to other projects, the series has been placed in the hands of Treyarch, the developer behind Call of Duty 2: Big Red One. It did not disappoint. Call of Duty 3 plays every bit as good as its predecessor, and it has improved multiplayer and visuals, too.
Id say its a buy

Graphics- The graphics are great for this game. I love the enviroment and everything looks perfect for this game. There is no problem with the graphics in this game. Graphics get a 5/5.
Gameplay- Call of Duty always has an amazing gameplay. Call of Duty 3 keeps that alive. Gameplay is amazing. The controls work wonderfully and everything works so smooth. Gameplay gets a 5/5.
Storyline- The storyline is starting to get a little bit old but they do a very good job yet again. I love Call of Duty, yet this is my least favorite one. The missions are a little to long per mission. I felt like it took about half to a full hour per mission. I think Call of Duty 2 was much better. Storyline gets a 4/5.
Online- Online is amazing. I'm in love with online play. This is a must if you love online playing. Online gets a 5/5.

This game is quite interesting and fun, but the AI could be a little more intelligent. It's exciting, and even with the next gen graphics, the framerate can stay pretty stable at what seems to be 60fps. The firefights are intense, and it keeps you hooked. This is a well made game.

WWII Masterpiece

Call of Duty 3 isn't a run-and-gun FPS, but it's not as slow-paced as a tactical shooter, either. You'll fight alongside CPU-controlled soldiers, and you'll generally need to stay behind cover, pick off as many soldiers as you can, and then advance to the next safe location. Since you spend so much time behind cover, it would have been nice to have the ability to lean, but you can do pretty well without it. Because the game's artificial intelligence appears "smarter" than a typical FPS, it can be frustrating to be unable to clear a particular section because of cheap tricks like how new enemies will spawn to replace fallen soldiers in outdoor levels (they don't do this indoors). But once you come to grips with the fact that you can't kill them all, it shouldn't bother you much. Overall this game is one of my favorites and the presentation of Call of Duty 4 Modern Warfare at E3 was just amazing making it one of the most anticipated games to come out in the upcoming year.

Call of Duty 3 easily takes one of the best war games made for basically any system (I played it for every system that it's out on). The grahpics are insane. I don't think I've seen better graphics on a war game than this. The Campaign storyline is great, and multiplayer is even better. This game impressed me so much that I am going to go reserve myself a copy of Call Of Duty 4 : Modern Warfare. I might even give it a 1 star rating so people think it sucks (which it doesn't) and I can get a copy sooner. All you gamers, what ever system you have, definately add Call Of Duty 3 to your collection.

I'm not one to usually get into shooters very much but wow this has so much going for it. You shoot (of course), you drive, you row across a river, your setting explosives. you drive a tank, I very much like that variety. I play call of duty 1 in death matches online with a friend since he only has the original XBox right now but soon he is getting the 360 and this will definitely be in the list of games to get. Graphics are cool and I love the sniper rifle. This game has rekindled my interest in shooters, a must get.

Great Game
Lots of fun, the graphice are nothing short of amazing. The people in the game all look extremely detailed. The explosions are also awesome which look like real explosions. The guns are all very realistic. The characters however in the game have no background at all. You know NOTHING about the character you play when your the British, Allies or anything. Also, I don't think that your teammates can even die. They got shot over and over again and never die. I have to say this bothers me very much. Other than this though, you will have a lot of fun playing Call of Duty 3 for Xbox 360.
