Opening Gates

There are a couple of levels where you have to get through a gate and it seems impossible because nothing seems to work. It took us awhile to figure it out, but next to these gates is a statue that has a hole where it will say on the hints "there seems to be a small opening that something small will fit into". We couldn't find a key or anything so didn't know what to do. Finally, I just started shooting at it and it opened. I guess the "something small" was a bullet :)
