People need to realize that a launch title of a new system isn’t going to be perfect. Especially for a system dedicated to a new design in controls. This is basically the first game for the Wii to put the controls to the test.

This game can be a lot of fun if you try and get the most out of it.

Graphics: 7/10. It’s true that the graphics are not as good as the PS3 or 360 but it’s definitely not bad. Lighting affects are actually almost just as good as PS3 or 360. The physics are great. I prefer the physics over graphics any day and this game achieves good rag doll physics. I would give this an 8/10 if bodies didn’t disappear but the graphics/physics will stay at a 7/10.

Story: 6.8/10. People think the story is too cliché and boring, and they don’t like the way it is told through the comic affect. It’s true that there could be more spice to the story but this story actually isn’t all that bad. It gets a little better as you go. There isn’t really anything to bitch about it though.

Controls: 8.5/10: The only glitch there is with the controls is that sometimes the corsair will go to the middle of the screen for a split second and for me this was not in a fire fight. It is a little hard to turn around quickly. The controls are great and easy to learn. I don’t know why some people struggle with these controls, but this is what gives the game a lot of fun.

Game play: 9.5/10. This is the best part of the game. Running around gunning down and blowing up your enemies quickly never gets boring, especially with fun controls. The extra parts of the game play are fun too, like throwing grenades, sniping, and the sword fights. To be honest, this is the first game that I know that actually achieves grenade rolling (instead of tossing) correctly. Half life 2 did it but not as good as this.

Music/Sound: 9/10. The sound of the guns and reloading is awesome. It even comes out of the Wii mote like your actually holding the gun. The music is really great in the fact that it gets tense and fun when your in a gun fight and slow and rigid when your not. If you like Japanese pop or rock then this is for you.

Art/Environment: 8/10. This is typical for a shooter game. You got your warehouses and harbors and shops or bars to gun through. Ubisoft did a pretty good job in portraying Japanese style art to this game and environments even if the environments are techno Japanese looking.

Multiplayer: N/A. I never got to the multiplayer but many people like it. From what ive seen, it’s probably just average.

Replayability: 7/10. You will not come back for this game because of the story or graphics. You will come back for it because of trying to get a better respect score in a mission or just having that fun time again and gunning down enemies in which is one of the funest I have done in a shooter.

Overall: 8/10.
